How share of voice is calculated

Share of voice compares brand wins against competitor wins across the audit terms. A brand win is counted when your brand is mentioned by any scoring LLM for a term. A competitor win is counted when that competitor is mentioned by any scoring LLM for the same term.

Brand SOV is your brand wins divided by all brand and competitor wins. Competitor SOV uses the same denominator for each configured competitor.

Weighted SOV

The audit also calculates volume-weighted SOV when AI volume data exists. Higher-volume terms count more, so the weighted view shows whether visibility is concentrated on commercially larger topics.

Competitor comparison screens

The competitor report and benchmarking screen show share of voice, weighted reach, mention volume, platform breakdown, a per-keyword mention matrix, competitive position, and competitor threats when the underlying data exists.

Interpret with the competitor list in mind

Share of voice only compares against the competitors saved on the brand. If AI answers repeatedly surface a different competitor, add that competitor before the next audit so the comparison reflects the real market.
