What it tracks

Featured Snippets uses SERP data from the latest completed audit. It tracks keywords with snippets or AI overviews, snippet rate, brand-owned results, competitor-owned results, unclaimed results, AI correlation, traditional snippets, and AI overviews.

Ownership categories

Brand-owned means the featured result or AI overview source belongs to your domain. Competitor-owned means it belongs to a configured competitor. Unclaimed means neither your brand nor a configured competitor owns it.

Trend comparisons

Like the other insight screens, Featured Snippets can compare against previous, 30-day, 90-day, or all-time audit windows and can read featured_snippets_change_summary from the audit data.

How to use it

Use the screen to find question-led topics where Google already shows direct answers. Brand-owned snippets can reinforce authority; competitor-owned or unclaimed snippets are candidates for better structured answer content.
